Reading Buddies is an activity concept that pairs older readers with younger readers for reading time with books. This activity is an opportunity for our Senior students to share their knowledge of compassion through storytelling and book reading. Powerful moments of connection can occur when learning together ‘and concepts of care and compassion are explored.
Yarning circles are an integral activity within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. They have been used by Indigenous peoples from around the world to learn from a collective group and build respectful relationships. In yarning circles students will contemplate compassion and its importance in both their immediate context and the world.
